On the blessed 11th of April, the little ones of the primary section gathered with innocent hearts and radiant smiles to celebrate Kumara Kovul Nada, marking the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. Dressed in colorful attire and filled with excitement, they embraced the spirit of tradition with joy and reverence. The event was a heartfelt tribute to culture, unity, and new beginnings.
The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life as the children participated in festive rituals that echoed the values of the New Year—peace, prosperity, and togetherness. Their laughter and cheerful presence lit up the celebration, creating memories that will be cherished by all who witnessed it. Indeed, it was a day blessed with beauty, tradition, and the timeless spirit of Avurudu.
